Traditional braces are very visible and many people do not like how they make them look. Clear Choice, on the other hand, is almost invisible and is barely noticeable by other people. Traditional braces can cause pain or discomfort when they press against the inside of the lips, but Clear Choice invisible braces don’t have this problem. Traditional braces are fixed onto the teeth for the entire course of the treatment; they cannot be removed and are difficult to clean if food gets stuck in them.
Clear Choice Invisible Braces
Clear Choice invisible braces, as the name suggests, are braces that are clear almost to the point of being invisible. If you want to have neatly aligned teeth but don’t like how traditional braces look, then Clear Choice invisible braces are a great option. Clear Choice gives you a way to get that perfect smile without having to go through the phase of wearing uncomfortable and unsightly braces.
The advantages of Clear Choice over traditional braces
Clear Choice braces are removable and can be cleaned easily. Food doesn’t stick in Clear Choice braces like it does in the wires of traditional braces. Maintenance and tightening of the wires of traditional braces require more visits to the dentist than Clear Choice braces do. With traditional braces, you can only guess how your teeth will look at the end of the treatment. With Clear Choice invisible braces, there is a computer software that can predict what your teeth will look like by the time the treatment is complete.
How do Clear Choice invisible braces work?
At All Dental, the doctor will first give you a full oral examination to check the alignment of your teeth. The dentist will then be able to advise you on whether or not Clear Choice braces are the right option for you.
The first step in getting Clear Choice invisible braces is obtaining a mold of your teeth. The dentist does this by taking impressions of your teeth which are then used to create an exact replica of your teeth. Impressions are also taken to get a better idea of the position of your teeth below the gums and also the structure of your jaw. Measurements of your jaws will also be taken.
The model of your teeth, scans, and measurements will all be sent to a lab that specializes in making Clear Choice invisible braces. Your data will be fed into a computer program which will be able to predict the different stages of your treatment. The program will show how the alignment of your teeth will change while the treatment progresses and also the end results. You will be sent a copy of this file for your own reference.
How long does the treatment last?
The lab will also custom-make a set of Clear Choice braces for you which will be sent to us at All Dental. Once we receive your braces, we will call you in to have them fitted. During this visit, we will fit the clear aligners over your teeth. The thin transparent plastic used to make the braces renders them almost invisible to everyone else.
A new set of aligners will be made for you regularly, based on the progress of your treatment. Each new set of aligners will be custom-made to fit your teeth perfectly during that stage of your treatment. During the treatment, you will be required to wear your braces for at least twenty-two hours a day and remove them only when eating and brushing your teeth.
The whole process from start to finish varies depending on the individual case, but generally takes about one year. During this year, you will receive several sets of Clear Choice invisible braces as your treatment progresses. At the end of the year, a retainer will be made for you to help the teeth conform to their new position. The result will be straighter, beautifully aligned, aesthetic teeth, dramatically enhancing the quality of your smile.
